Boys and Mud

Ryan wanted mud. He wanted mud in my garden.  My garden that is in the beginning stages of being planted.  My garden that I hope produces abundantly for our little clan.  My garden that if my kids and dogs don't stay out of it...won't BE a garden.

Oh wait...that's not the post.

So I gave Ryan the hose and said go make mud somewhere else.  He did!  It started as just some innocent play.  A hole.  Some water.  His feet dangling in it.  But then he slipped...and discovered...that mud is slippery.  And fun!
And his brother joined him!

And they slipped and slided and plunged and glopped and everything else in that sloppy mud until they were covered.  H e a d -------to--------T o e !  Both of them.

Mud gets sticky after awhile...

Check him out.  He's just chillin'...
in the mud!
And then he lost his pants.  In the mud.  They stuck.
Yep!  There they are...
The boys had a FANTASTIC time in the mud...and I would have joined them had it not been quite so cold.  Maybe we'll make mud again someday...when it's 85 instead of 55.
